SHIPPING INFO

PICKLE & POLISH ADVISE ALL ORDERS OVER THE VALUE OF £50 SHOULD BE SENT VIA SPECIAL DELIVERY AS ANY LOSS OR DAMAGES TO YOUR ORDER MAY NOT BE COVERED FOR A REPLACEMENT / REFUND FOR THE FULL AMOUNT.

Here at Pickle & Polish we use the Royal Mail signed for service on all UK deliveries, it is not tracked but will need to be signed for on receipt. If there is no-one in at the nominated delivery address Royal Mail may deliver to a close neighbour or attempt to re-deliver the next working day, in both instances a calling card with further instructions will be left by Royal Mail. You will be responsible for retrieving the undelivered parcels or arranging a further re-delivery.

Order's over £75 will be shipped 1st Class & require a signature. You may wish to choose another shipping method if this doesn't suit. Please note Pickle & Polish advise all orders over the value of £50 should be sent via special delivery as any loss or damages to your order may not be covered for a replacement/refund for the full amount from Royal Mail. 

Special Delivery- £6.60
Delivered by 1pm the Next Day (Mon- Thurs)- This service comes with compensation of jewellery, includes tracking and will require a signature. If you require Special Delivery for a weekend please email via the contact us page to arrange additional payment- this option is not available on the website. (advised for orders over £50)

DELIVERY & JEWELLERY CARE

 Delivery 

Orders are dispatched within 7-10 working days from Sep 1st 2019 due to maternity leave (10-14 during busy periods) via the postal service chosen at checkout. Orders placed on a weekend or bank holiday will be processed the following working day, this may affect the working day dispatch time. Should you require an order for a specific date which falls short of the dispatch timescales please email via the contact us page or contact number prior to ordering.


Jewellery Care

Why is my silver turning black? It's one of the biggest complaints/queries jewellers have. Frequently people think something is wrong with their jewellery when this happens, but in truth, tarnish is a natural reaction to silver metal & the oxygen we breathe. Many things can speed tarnish; air pollution, minerals in water, skin types etc. But there's no hard or fast rule of how long it will take your jewellery to tarnish, some people days, while others take weeks or months. Studies have shown tarnish develops microscopically within a few hours of being cleaned & exposed to the air again. This is only surface discolouration and can easily be removed with a soft, clean polishing cloth. When not wearing, store your jewellery separately so that it doesn’t get scratched or tangled. We recommend storing your jewellery out of strong sunlight & in its original packaging. Bangles/cuffs should be removed gently taking care not to bend or misshape them. Please be aware that repeated bending & flexing of the cuffs can cause metal fatigue. This may result in snapping which cannot be repaired....."NO ROUGH WITH YOUR CUFF" To keep your pieces of jewellery beautiful and shiny we recommend you polish regularly with a clean jewellery polishing cloth, you will receive a cloth with every bangle & cuff, if you would like to purchase more please email us via the contact us page. We recommend removing jewellery before bathing, swimming or in the shower & ensure that your jewellery is kept clean and free from creams, lotions, oils, perfumes, make-up & other solvents.  


BANGLE/ CUFF SIZING & SAFETY GUIDELINES

Bangle & Cuff Sizing

Please ensure that when placing orders you select the correct bangle size, should your item arrive & not be suitable sizing, this can be changed & the charge incurred for this is £10 per bangle excluding shipping costs. Cuffs cannot be resized. 


Safety Guidelines

Your little person will want to wear their own pretty jewellery all the time but, to keep them safe as well as looking beautiful, We'd ask that you follow our safety guidelines below. We do not recommend that any jewellery be given to any child under the age of 12 months. Jewellery is not a toy and should not be worn for play & extended periods of wear, over 24hrs or whilst sleeping. Do not allow children to put jewellery into their mouths. To ensure  it doesn't become to tight, your child's jewellery will need to be replaced as they grow. Please do not allow them to wear an item which is too small for them.

CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

  We cannot cancel orders once your order has been marked as processing. Refunds are accepted within 14 days if the item is unworn, undamaged and returned in the condition & packaging you received it in ( Please note we do not cover the costs of returns & all orders should be returned via signed for postal service) Personalised and bespoke pieces are non-returnable/non-refundable. Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. Please contact us via email for the returns address. Please wrap/post safely and securely, Pickle & Polish are not responsible for any damage or loss on route. Please Include the following information within your parcel;  Full name, delivery address, order number, email address, reason for refund/exchange  This will enable us to process in a timely manor. 

PERSONALISATION

Pickle & Polish items are all handcrafted, some may show imperfections and signs of workmanship, each letter is individually stamped by hand so characters may not be perfectly aligned, there may also be variations in depth & spacing. This adds to the unique charm of having something handmade & is not a fault. When ordering the piece ensure that the wording is correct as mistakes cannot be rectified afterwards.

HALLMARKS & WARRANTY

Hallmarks 

I can't find a hallmark? Some of the smaller pieces may not be hallmarked if they are under the legal weight.     


Warranty

 Each item comes with a six months warranty period from date of purchase, we will repair or replace any item that proves defective due to improper workmanship at no extra cost under normal use & care. Chains will be repaired with a visible link. .
